How Jamie Overcame Scoliosis-Related Instability with Aletheia

Top View of Force Portrait

Jamie has scoliosis, which causes her hips to be uneven, requiring physical therapy adjustments to realign her posture. In the clinic, we used EMG to measure her glute activation and discovered that the muscles on her left side were underperforming during her run. This poor muscle activation led to instability in her left hip, evident in her Force Portrait as a significant asymmetry in the running direction.

After a physical therapy session, Jamie's muscle activation patterns returned to normal. Her Force Portrait now shows a highly symmetric pattern. With the Aletheia sensor, Jamie can monitor her muscle activation and know when it's time for a realignment session, keeping her running strong and balanced.
